POLARIN Kick-off Meeting in Bremerhaven from 17 to 19 April
The POLARIN Kick-off meeting took place from April 17th to 19th at AWI in Bremerhaven, gathering over 80 participants to lay the groundwork for pioneering calls for access to polar research infrastructure in both the Arctic and Antarctica.
POLARIN will grant global access to 64 top polar research facilities, such as Arctic and Antarctic stations, research ships, icebreakers, observatories, data centers, and sample repositories. Researchers can secure slots at these sites or access them virtually. Additionally, remote access will enable researchers to request resources like samples and data, which will be prepared on-site without their physical presence.
