POLARIN Launches Ambassadors Programme to Enhance Polar Research Collaboration

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the POLARIN Ambassadors Programme, a new initiative designed to connect and support researchers accessing polar research infrastructures through POLARIN.

This exciting development follows the successful evaluation of applications from the first POLARIN Transnational Access (TA) Call for Proposals, which opened in October 2024. Approved applicants (TA users) now have the opportunity to become POLARIN Ambassadors, sharing their unique experiences and insights to inspire future TA users and contribute to the continuous improvement of POLARIN’s services.

The POLARIN Ambassadors Programme will create a dynamic platform for researchers to document their journeys through photos, videos, articles, and other formats. Their contributions will serve as valuable resources for future users, fostering a collaborative network of scientists engaged in polar research.

Additionally, the programme focuses on supporting early-career researchers by providing them with greater visibility and an opportunity to showcase their work beyond traditional academic publications.

Specific details, including guidelines and submission forms, will be provided directly to successful applicants from the first call. They will also have the opportunity to ask questions in an upcoming webinar (details to be announced) to help them make the most of their participation in the programme.
