POLARIN at the One Ocean Science Congress & the UN Ocean Conference

From June 3 to 6, 2025, more than 2,000 scientists will convene in Nice, France, for the One Ocean Science Congress (OOSC), the scientific pillar of the Third United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3). Serving as the scientific foundation of the global summit, the Congress aims to equip world leaders and the broader public with a thorough understanding of the ocean’s current condition, future prospects, and the critical role it plays in sustaining life and human well-being. It will also highlight strategies for its conservation and sustainable use.

POLARIN is proud to be part of this landmark gathering. Our poster, titled OOS2025-466: POLARIN – A Polar Research Infrastructure Network for Global Ocean Sustainability, will be on display in the “La Baleine” poster area (Board No. P599) from Tuesday, June 3, 17:00 CEST, until Thursday, June 5, 20:00 CEST.

Join us during our dedicated attendance times:

  • Tuesday, June 3: 18:00–20:00 CEST
  • Wednesday, June 4: 18:00–20:00 CEST
  • Thursday, June 5: 18:00–20:00 CEST

One week later, from June 9 to 13, POLARIN will also be featured at the Third United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3), again in Nice. On Thursday, June 12, from 13:00 to 15:00 CEST, the project will be presented aboard the METEOR Research Vessel in Port Lympia during the session “Polar oceans, climate, biodiversity: synergies of international science collaboration”, co-organised by Antarctica InSync, the Tara Ocean Foundation & POLARIN. We look forward to participating in these important events and engaging with the global ocean and polar research community.
