Facilities
Le Commandant Charcot is able to sail to remote areas that are normally difficult for scientists to access. Le Commandant Charcot is equipped with laboratories, specialised instruments, staterooms and a dedicated workforce, and offers a platform for observation, research and analysis that can be used for studying polar regions.
The scientists who travel on the ship as part of carrying out their research host conferences on board on a regular basis. The exchanges and interactions involved in these events offer exceptional opportunities to learn more about the polar regions and the issues involved in protecting them.
Icludes a wet lab and dry lab.
